In October 2021, Unit Peneraju Agenda Bumiputera (TERAJU) organised a business pitching competition, Skim Usahawan Permulaan Bumiputera (SUPERB 2021). Given the excellent reputation of TERAJU SUPERB, founder of Lyndung, Shamsuddin Salleh, believes that participating in the competition would help the business flourish and bring out its best potential.
SUPERB aims to help young entrepreneurs with creative and innovative business ideas grow and develop their ideas into a robust business model. Winners with a viable business idea selected by a professional panel of judges were each awarded up to RM500,000 to help them scale up. In contrast, up to RM100,000 was granted to young entrepreneurs with promising business ideas.
SUPERB 2021 successfully attracted 800 participants to join the programme. Lyndung was honoured to be named one of the top 60 finalists. Being named a top 60 finalist demonstrates that Lyndung's business idea has been recognised and validated by the professional judges, including Sam Shafie, CEO of PitchIn and Dato Azrin Mohd Noor, founder and Managing Director of Sedania.

The team was given the opportunity to participate in the Accelerator Bootcamp in which they assisted the finalist in improving the business idea, coaching the finalist on how to start a business, providing exposure to essential business and management skills, and expanding the potential and direction of the business.
Lyndung was able to acquire significant insights from experienced judges and coaches. Lyndung helps promote financial inclusion, particularly for underserved Malaysians who do not have access to personal health insurance. The business competition has helped the team strengthen its strategy and knowledge to improve the existing business model.
Regardless of the fact that Lyndung was not chosen as one of the 23 winners, we regard SUPERB 2021 as a stepping stone for Lyndung. The team believes that we should not give up and continue bringing out the best in Lyndung by adopting excellent advice from industry experts. We are pleased to help in making health protection become more accessible and affordable, especially to the lower-income groups.
